How Do You Search For The Right
area?
As a rule of thumb, you should buy a home that meets your
basic needs in the best area you can afford. Here are some
tips designed to help you find an area that is affordable
today, yet likely to increase in value in the future:
Identify the most continuously desirable areas in an area
and look for new adjacent communities that are likely to become
‘hot areas’ in years to come.
- Extend your search to good areas that often can be found
farther from the key points.
- Find out what the demand is for a area.
- Are homes in the area receiving multiple offers?
- Is the gap between the list price and sale price decreasing
or increasing?
- Are there many ‘sale agreed’ and ‘sold’
signs in the community compared to neighbouring areas?
